    What type of soil is it better to grow glosso or is sand a better choice? Any help please?

    yes, and you must have enough lights, or else they will grow upwards instead of sideway

    I don't find light quantity makes a difference. In my 2ft/20g under 65w 10000k/6700k CF, mine grows straight up quite often. Over in some tanks with 2/3 of my lighting, with poorer reflectors and spectrum, I see it put off runners.

    So far I'm between evaluating consistency of light level and CO2 distribution. The par meter isn't here yet, and I don't have the money for an in situ CO2 meter.
