Why not just sell off the lights and get one that is more suitable for your nano tank? It looks funny with such a long light set.
So,
I decommissioned my old 2 feet aquarium due to a busy schedule and did up a nano tank.
However, my old nano tank lighting sucks and I don't really want to waste my 2ft Aqua-Zonic T5
So:
I've pressurised CO2 injection and periodic fert.
Clean up crew consist of 20 Cherry Shrimps, 08 Zebra Nerite Snails, 03 Otocinclus (yet to introduce)
Here's looking for experts to let me know in advance if I'm in for some big trouble down the road with the lights and the size of the tank.
Thank

Nah, I don't like the hassle of selling equipments. Meeting people, latecomers, no shows and all that crap.

hi bro, if selling the 4 tubes T5 aquazonic, pls let me know. 91078804. tks
Wah, this is really interesting. You can use the light as the table light, too. However, the light really looks a bit out of place. Since you have spent so much effort, time and money on this nano tank, why don't you get a right size light to make it nicer?
hahaha everyone noticed his light set more than his scape.
anyway i'm using a 2ft light set 18w x 2 without the stand for my 1ft five plan tank also. but i am sharing the light with a betta planted tank.
the lights are very strong even for my setup (why does your tank look dark?) and the balance for your tank will be very crucial. i think your scape looks nice but all are slow growing plants so there might be a high chance that you will get algae attack if you are not careful. maybe you want to remove the stand and place it directly over your tank sharing the lights with the small tank beside and throw in some floaters like frogbits to shade the plants below a little?
pls correct me if i'm wrong
I've got the same type of setup too, using my old 2ft light set (PL x2 72watts switched off one to 36watts) on a 1ft cube with pressurized CO2 as I downsize from previous 2ft. Mine hit by algae initially, after some Hydrogen peroxide treatment and help from a few algae crew(Otos & Horned Nerite snails), trial and error on dosing Lush Gro Macro with Wonder Gro Micros together with CO2 @ ~2.5bps (30ppm? drop checker shows green), temperature ~ 26-27 degree Celsius. Now the tank looks pretty ok to me. I had it monitored 1 month plus before adding any fauna.
