CRS are sensitive to water conditions.

i won't suggest using rain water. the main reason is that there might be pollutants in the water, and that they might have acidic pH.

i won't suggest keeping CRS with rain water. i really think treated tap water might be a much safer option

never believe it is impossible . . . . . worth the try

even arowana breed in the open
Give someone a , you will feed him a day. Teach him how to rear , he might just run away. 说了又不听, 听了又不懂, 不懂又不问, 问了又不做, 做了又做错, 错了又不认, 认了又不改, 改了又不服, 不服又不说

Arowana don't breed and they most probably won't even survive in a "pond" 3 - 5 feet large, filled with rainwater from a city area.

Wo0oo0o0 ... Using rainwater to setup a tank .... Very creative idea ... Thumbs up for you bro ...

I agree with that worth a try but not with high Grades CRS ... if not you will have a heartache when it doesn't work out man ...

I believe wild caught livestock might work on Rainwater but the only thing is its really hard to control the water parameter if you were to just top rainwater everyday ... For my knowledge , some wild caught fishes like apisto gamma , they live on hillside rivers ... once heavy rains falls , the PH will go very low and the temp will decrease suddenly too ... thats when they starts to breed like nobody's business ... wahaha ....

Good luck in your experiment bro ... please do keep us update on the results man ....
