Hi william
just curious.....it may be better to have 2x150watts instead of 1x300watts? you may want to try at kalantan street...for a single 300 watts MH construction, be prepared to purchase those warehouse looking hoods that could be quite ugly

I would prefer to get lighting which do not require me to drill holes in the ceiling. I am currently on 144W for my 4 ft tank. Thinking of switching to MH completely or add another 2 tubes of 72W PL. Still considering which is a better option. I heard that there is 55W PL light tube available. Anyone heard of this?
Regards
William
hi william
if you got to use the level of wattage for your tank, it would be better to use MH. The PL bulb cost (especially 55watts) alone is going to out weigh the initial purchase of the MH lighting set.
If you dont want to drill any holes into the ceiling, you may want to consider the one brought in by Keong Seong (Havelock), Azoo MH light set, or Oceanfree....i believe all of these brands have a metal insulated stand of some sort.
