Red larvae

A few of these guys come along in the water that I scooped up from a LFS when I was trying to buy fish.

What are they? Shrimp larvae? These guys are bright red and about 6-7 mm long.

The LFS must have used it to feed his fishes. You are right that it lives in salt water.

Yup saltwater. They can survive for a very short period in freshwater.

haha! That's what I thought too. But the starlight bristlenose (L183) that I bought didn't touch them at all.
