Frustrations about my Atman Canister Filter

Hi all,

Just started the hobby like 3 months back, plants and fishes are doing rather well except the fact that the Atman filter I bought went down 4 times in 3 months. It's like it will suddenly stop and some meddling here and there(ilke shaking it vigorously or switching on n off) will actually get it working(it worked for the last 3 times after almost an hour of trying each time). However, it failed me last night even though I had opened it up to check if there is any possible clog.

To all the experts out there, is my filter gone already?

a) posted in wrong forum
b) if got warranty then take it in.
c) what is it hoooked up to? if you put a surface skimmer or is injecting co2 into the canister directly, I suggest you stop those and monitor it.

d) always make sure no air left, so onces its up and running, tilt it until all air bubbles are gone.

e) if no matter what you do right now and it won't start up, its dead.
