I'm curious - my bottle of Ocean Free Super Bacteria has no expiry date. Don't these things expire?

Good question. I've asked the LFS owners as well but nobody seems to know.

No, just don't put in under hugh temperature conditions. Yes, it is very effective.

I use various BB adding products though some people claim they're all snake oil.

Its shortened my fresh tank cycles by up to 1 - 2 weeks, but its by no means necessary. If you have the patience a piece of market prawn will do just as good a job.

Don't rely on it as a shortcut to cycle your tank and you'll be ok.

They do expire. On the bottle of Waterlife BacterLife that I have, they state there that the item should be used within 6 months of opening the seal.

I never expect Ocean Free stuff to state anything anyway. In most cases, keeping the bottle of the bacteria thing in your fridge, should keep it longer.

Like Fuzzy said, it's not a shortcut to cycle the tank, but they do help.
