    Hi,
The objective of this project is, to find out how cost effective it will be to use DIY co2 to grow plant. Also, will the inconsistance of the DIY CO2 will affect the water parameters as compare to the canister CO2.
So far the tank is algale free. perhaps we do water changing often.

So can anybody tell me whether Canister Co2..produces a much better growth and colouration than DIY co2??

Assuming DIY CO2 is good enough to achieve a CO2 level of 20~30ppm, the difference will lie in whether the DIY CO2 can keep up a constant CO2 supply. DIY CO2 will taper off toward the end. If one is dilligent in keeping the constant CO2 level and have cascaded yeast bottles, you should not find a difference.

The problem with DIY CO2 is the decline of CO2 level at the end of a mix. When there is insufficient CO2, one may find algae problem like BBA.
