read up carbo plus on the net.
findings are
-you need high kh for it to work.
-over the long term, not cost effective.

Are those electric Co2 generators which work on the basis of hydrolysis any good??
contains 2 electrodes which "create" Co2 from water..at $50+ it is a bargain compared to Co2 tank sets.
Also, which pH test is worth buying?seen those consisting of strips which just needs to be dipped in tank water.seems easy, but accuracy is to 0.5.is that good enough?

"Hydrolysis"? Or do you mean "Electrolysis" since you have 2 electrodes.----------------

Juggler's tanks
co2 test kits are very easy to use, just drop 3 drops of chemical thats all. test strips are expensive and 0.5 accuracy is not good enuff!! your co2 table needs ph accuracy of 0.1
which test kits can give accuracy of 0.1?
In the long term, it is going to be more expensive than cylinder.
Effeciency wise, it is ok for smallish tanks, but a bit low for big tanks. and kind of hard to hide in small tanks also.

Haha..like chem lessons last time when i was still in school.Sad to say,i clean forgot everything so all those explanations on hydrolysis n electrolysis i failed to comprehend.Anyway u guys got what i meant with the machine. So in other words they hardly offer much use?
had enough of DIY Co2,planning to switch to cannister one soon.
