Frozen daphnia be may too big for ur fries and they tend to foul up water fast. In fact, you should only consider using them if ur fries are in a bare-bottom tank.

Try to use either BBS or live daphnia. For BBS, u will need to hatch them on a daily basis. Live daphnia can be bought at some LFSs and kept for 2-3 days using a large enuff tank with vigorous aeration.

Nobil fluid works the same way as liquidfry 1, i.e. to promote infusoria for ur fries to consume.

A way to maximise the amt of infusoria in ur tank is to add some moss into ur tank but i would caution u against adding anything if all is well at the moment. Reason : Rams r rather very sensitive fishes (depends on what u r comparing to actually). Them being young (fries) and balloon (aquarium bred variety) will probably make it more challenging.

Ask for brine shrimp eggs at LFSs (got mine from Lam Hong previously). Do a search on the web on fish breeding (betta, guppies, etc) if u have any questions on how to use them.

I got my BBS @ PetMArt for $12 per bottle.
For my ram fries, I dun really keep the tank 'squeaky clean', I put in Nobil fluid, tetrabits, plecomint, BBS, etc, the whole mixture. By doing this, there will always be microbits of food available for the fries & this has worked b4 on other fish fries I hv raised (guppies & cories) with low casualties.

    Cheers

I never use any liquid fry food before when raising my apistos baby...feed them hikari frozen daphnia. So far so good...i guess the fry can chew or suck the nutrients out of the food themselves...no worry
