    Dear all,

I've got lots of white sesame-like stuff on the tank glass. Could they be the eggs of the snails? I only keep shrimps and tetras and 've introduced 5 apple snails for a few days into the tank.

The shrimps and the tetras don't seem to bother eating them ...

Any remarks for my reference? Thanks.

    Thanks!

But a more horrifying thing is that my little snails are reproducing real fast and eating my "grassland" non-stop. The white small "sesame" still stay where they are, with no one having the appetite on them.

    Any comments?

donno about apple snail eggs but those normal tiny ramshorn snails produce eggs which are jelly like, transparent and a big clump of it at a time. and yep snails once they start reproducing are a pest so try to control now while you can, maybe throw in a puffer.

Many species of apple snails lay their eggs above water surface on rocks or other hard surfaces. Saw apple snail egg clusters at a LFS before ... Quite disgusting.

In any case, if u find the eggs r on ur glass, take the opportunity to get rid of them.
