hi guys, i will be having a new project of a 3x1.5x1.5 planted tank. one of the main plants would be downoi. i am thinking of using a tub, with lapis sand and some normal base fert that can be purchased from pasa malam and try to grow downoi in immersed form.. as i know downoi grow faster in emmersed or immersed form.. so can cultivate more first.if im not wrong, immersed form means that the roots are in water but the leaves are above water right?

is 13watt PL enough? what do you guys think?

    Re: immersed for plants.

    Just to clarify

immersed form = totally submerged in water
emersed form = emerging out of water (ie. soil wet, with leaves in contact with air)

And so, yes. Emersed form will grow faster as CO2 is not an issue. But by being true or semi-aquatic plant, the surrounding needs to be preferably high in humidity.

Maybe you can find a way, for eg. use a container with transparent food wrap with some holes on top, to lock in most of the moisture. 13 watts should be enough. But sunlight is better
