I tried planting hairgrass and some other type of grass in the foreground. However, they seem to be always uprooted by those bottom dweller. eg, algae eater, gobies, pleco.

Or should I just take out the hairgrass?

    Hi min,
Unfortunately all grass will uproot easily, when they are freshly planted in, Runners and roots have not get a firm grip of the substrate yet. Replant them whenever they get uprooted, a bit tedious. Dont want that, try HC, riccia or moss that could be tied to wire mesh. Lay the mesh on the soil and your plants will do the rest.
