Yarh. Fin Rot. And e edges r lined white/black. What my dad's luohan also has now. Used Ocean Free's Herbal Treatment (antibacteria) for sum daes alreadi; beginning 2 show signs of recovery...
Guys wonder if u can help me out with this one.
I have a community planted tank...with Red mollies. neon tetras..2 rainbow fish...SAE....Zebra don't know the exact species...
IN recent months I observed that 2 of my guppies...left...Some have died away not due to this problem though....have lost its....initial beautiful shimmer and the tails start to have zagged edges..as if some parts were bitten...HOweever, I observe my fish a lot and do not see any ...aggressive fish attacking them IF NoT other docile fishes like Mollies along with their small babies..would be eaten or bitten as well?
Can anybody tell me the remedy for this matter to bring back my Guppies to its initial Glamour stage?
Thanks

Long-finned n fancy finned fishes r particularly susceptible 2 fin rot.
What's the pH of your tank water?
If pH is below 6.5, guppies more susceptible to fin rot.
They prefer slight alkaline water.

What is the cause of FIN ROT??? Bacterial INternally/?

pH has got nothing to do with fin-rot...look at your water conditions which I think is not at its optimal. Do small water changes everyday if possible ..if not alternate days to improve water conditions.

Have you tried rearing guppies in water of pH 6?----------------

If u do, you will find your guppies sluggish behaviour and get fin-rot easily.
