do they sell in loose form ? are they expensive
Hi Guys,
Just though I'd give these old timers some publicity. When I started trying out with planted tanks like 5 years back, I already knew of their presence. I laid off for like 4 years and started a tank again this year. I went back there and was delighted to see that they are now focusing on mosses, ferns, and liverworts. They have really very nice and hard to find mosses and ferns. When I was there, I saw
1. Erect moss
2. Mini Pellia
3. US Fissiden
4. Willow Moss
5. XMas Moss
6. Mini Bolbitis (These are really really nice but too bad it's not for sale.:
And a lot more mosses that I dun know the name of.
I bought and tied some mini pellia to my bogwood. Hoepfully it will grow nicely .
Guys do give these guys a visit if you are into rare mosses.
do they sell in loose form ? are they expensive
I thought there are no more erect moss in Singapore any more.

I guess you must have paid quite a high price for the mini pelia. This moss in other LFS is already quite a high price, not to mention that bioplast entertains only higher qty sales. That time I called them up on loose form us fissidens and they said that the minimum they will sell is $20 worth.
Yah I paid $20. I thought they say erect moss. Maybe I heard wrongly.
rbo how is your mini pellia growth?what is the temperature of your tank?
two months ago i bught mini pellia tie on rock from colourful but after two weeks all ture white!
It's growing ok leh. Can see new plants coming out. My temp is 25.
Hi Shrimppaste, does mni pellia need high light or low light to grow
I have read it can grow any condition. Low light also fine. most crucial is temperature.
Not only the mini pelia need cooler temperature, do take into consideration on the placement of your mini-pelia. Try to place it somewhere where the water flow does not hit directly to it, not directly where the flow will be. Otherwise, the plant may being forced to detach from the fishing line and ended somewhere in the tank.
