    Hi guys, how do i trim my tonina? can i just snip off the crown? can the snipped crown be replanted? thanks

    usually i leave the original crown alone and only trim the side shoots

    If the growth rate of tonina in your tank is high and the plants are getting long, i will cut them into 2 for propagation. As simon mentioned, side shoots can also be snipped for propagation.

    Replanting the crown and throw away the bottom might be another wasteful way, but the bottom will take much longer to regain growth. IME, the bottom cutting will usually be stunted for a while before a new shoots grows from the near the roots.

    thanks lorba, my tonina are getting pretty tall and was thinking of propagating them. i'll stick to ur advice and split them into 2 for propagation. thanks a lot.

    to promote new growth, plant enzyme is usually added.. example (ADA ECA, dennerle plantgold 7)
