    can anyone recommend me a carpet plant that fits the following criteria?

    hardy
    doesn't grow upwards
    does not require strong lighting(using 36w PL, on 6 hours a day only)
    does not require co2/fert supplement
    and no moss please

    whats the dimension of the tank you intent to use? most carpet plant needs near to high lighting.

    my tank size is 2 by 1 by 1 feet

    intend to keep 1 by 1 by 1 feet of carpet plants
    the other side will be rocks with nana

    Hi bro,

    as for carpet plant, i think glosso is pretty hardy. I have that for my foreground and it is growing and spreading pretty well..although, they do tend to grow upwards but not very much. A good trimming from time to time should help =) as for HC, i think they are pretty hard to grow. I have tried them. It's either they are not growing or growing VERY slowly! ahhahs not dying at least..

    Another alternative is hairgrass..japanese? mine seems to be growing pretty well too but can be quite costly so i sugggest you buy from the forum, from other bros who are selling them.

    Or you may one to consider tenellus but they are quite "tall" so i guess that out for you too..
