I WANT 20 pcs can!!!
OK, sometime ago there has been a tiger shrimp craze, a cherry shrimp craze, and one shrimp that has never been available much is the mosquito shrimp. Since coolconnect died I couldn't locate MECH's wonderful pics any more but you can go to Jason's my nature aquarium to have a look, scroll all the way down there's a pic of the mosquito shrimp over glosso.
Now apparently there is supply of this thing, but I am asking for a show of hands, who and how many would you be planning to get, assuming a $1-2 price each. Do note these shrimps are very small (around 15mm) and largely transparent so they disappear fast in small numbers. I am planning to get at least 50 if not 100 myself!
OK, show of hands please.

Lyon © I would rather walk a thousand leagues then to see your ugly face
Me want 20
the show of hands is to help the seller gauge the demand. so only hands up if you are fairly serious. as the shrimp comes from this region most likely it will be soft water, just like your regular forest barbs, betta etc. I've kept them before, shouldn't be an issue.

Hi hwchoy, I think I saw them at Biotope today. Apparently, they came from India, The Scientific name is Cardina Something...I think it was Cardina Sp, but I forgot..[]
Anyways, It has a "fairly sharp red horn"? It's rather prominent, given it's glass like body.

choy.. that was a fast move!.. breed them if u can []
guess the "mosquito" season is in..
Think they are also known as red-fronted shrimps (Palaemon scarletti). Eats algae.
Below is translated from German Language
Scientific name: Palaemon scarletti (???)
German name: Red Nashorngarnele
origin/spreading: Lives mainly in Flussdeltas and Mangrovensuempfen.
Description: A strongly extended red Rosstrum (nose) has. By transport this breaks off frequently, regenerates however with the next Haeutungen again. Sex differences: Females have a more strongly curved Hinterkoerper.
Size of the females in mm: 40
size of the males in mm: 35
water temperature: KAQ: approx. 25°C
hardness: KAQ: approx.. 8 dgH
pH value: KAQ: approx.. 6.8
basin size: not under 50 L.
Basin mechanism: dark sand/gravel, plants, roots
fodder: Like other Caridina.
Behavior: Peaceful group animal; usually fully floating progressive movement; Socialization possibility: With other Caridina and smaller fish, no problem. Kind of the vermehrung: In the abdomen of the females, after approx. 4 weeks the female the egg/larvae (2 - 3 mm largely) repels many small eggs. Number of clutch of eggs size/new generations: Very many very small eggs - approx.. 50-100 pieces of frequency of the vermehrung: approx. every 5-6 weeks breed: Due to the very small egg size breed probably very with difficulty. Brack more /Meerwasser! Set without large add Laich on.
Remarks: Animals the one milchiges appearance have stand briefly before the Haeutung. The animals have a high sauerstoffbedarf (compared with Neocaridinen) - with a power failure did not die nearly all animals of this kind, the Caridina and Neocaridinagarnelen had a loss.
MO: Animals are not very sensitive and even of several days hold in a 1 litre of containers with daily water change, no problem. KAQ: formerly registered as Caridina serratirostris (De Man, 1892)
