    Hi All,

I harvested some java fern plantlets (about 8 - 10 cm long) and tied them to a piece of driftwood. After a few months, they still don't grow bigger. Instead, they produce a lot of tiny plantlets on their leaves. Why is that so?

    Thanks.

They're reacting to a new environment. if you keep moving them or make drastic changes to the water- they will keep trying to adapt. You are giving them signal like in mother nature- "hey this place is not permanent, if weather changes again, I'm ready to move out!

I believe the new plantlets will get use to the new environment better and grow well.
