when i didnt have chiller my spikey and taiwan moss still grow. but not as fast as when in 25 degress.
but i think us fissiden cannot.

Taiwan moss can grow under 28-29 degree celsius rather well.
US fissident need lower temp to grow better.
Just got my Taiwan Moss tied to DW. A bit botak, bought it because I like the shape of the DW. Hope it will grow back soon..

for my tank, my fissiden did quite well.. was just using fan and sometimes my temp hover around 28-29, u can see my fissiden in this pic

my other 2 fissiden turned from initially brown to green =)
errr is that fissidens in the tanks? does quite look like it...
I am also tyirng to grow fissidens with only a fan. I've seen my friend grow fissiden in his tank with fan only. Strange thing is that he had 2 tanks. in one tank it was bright green and healthy, the other tank the fissidens were dull and dirty looking. both tanks have similar conditions

but in your previous picture -- cannot see, it is hidden at the back and riccia is the main centrepiece, that's why we got confused.
Sooooo Dessss Ne.... looks like you have quite a healthy growth there. Im always inspired by healthy looking fissidens especially the one at boon keng where the uncle pumps CO2

How long did your friend have this Frisiden in his tank?
Maybe it need to get used to the water condition before it start growing.
Moss can easily survive in the sub 30c temperature nad prefers low lighting but for fissiden, preferably 27c or below will be nice.
Try putting a big fan if chiller is not within your range of budget like me.
my fissidens is definitely growing well above 27c =) with just fan
