The water in my planted tank turns yellowish. I try changing 50% of the water, but the just the following days, it turns yellowish again. It a 2ft tank with filter running 24 hr.

Usually it is the driftwood inside leeching its tannic acid.
Or it could be from the substrate fertiliser you used?

let me guess. you have a very big piece of driftwood which you didn't boil?
    that should be the reason.
filtering with carbon will help, although i do not recommend it.

Right, Stevie, like what Juggler and Cardinal Tetra suspect, it's usually the driftwood. If it's possible, why not take it out and boil it? If it's too big a piece to boil, then soak it and rinse it with hot water periodically. I soaked and rinse mine BIG driftwood for a month before placing it in my tank. The tanin will still leach out but at a much slower rate than now. [:]
