I suggest go to a good shop to buy the CO2 tank if you are really a noob in this part . Cheaper one could mean that they are near to expiry date. I forgot how long before we need to change the tank.

Try at NA (Nature Aquarium). They do 1 to 1 exchange for their tank when you refill Co2. I find that their Co2 tank price are lower than others. Hope it helps.
Any ideas how much is it selling now
CO2 tank price from NA, life time warranty, 1 to 1 exchange for top up.
3L is around $80
5L is around $85
Regulator price
Taiwan/China brand $80
German brand $150
My budget quite low... bascially wan to set up for kids to learn
Low budget? Go low tech ...no need co2 injection with careful selection of plants....
Alternative is to wait and see in aq marketplace

I am not PERFECT but I am LIMITED EDITION !!! BIG Tank comes with BIG Responsibility...as they makan a lot of $$....lol
Rather then worrying about the price diff. I think your main corner should be the reliability, warranty and support of the seller/equipment.
Locally, there is only a few LFS with online shopping option and you can pretty much gauge for yourself the prices of what you need.
A premium of say 10% higher is well worth it if you buy from a good retailer. Some shops are cheap but buy n F off....
Generally for regulator, the price equal the brand and precision it offer. Reliability too but I personally feel it more of a luck thingy

Try to get something bigger like a 5L.
Its cheaper to fill in the long run and it last longer in between re-fills.
