    Any one have try growing only hairglass in a 2 ft tank. Any advice to give?

    Yes. I ever tried. See my link.
    HairGrass needs high lighting, but is a slow grower. Have to be patient during planting. Needs fertilisation just like all other plants.

    may i know what is the level of maintenance?
    i heard from a LFS owner that the hair glass need to be 'comb'?
    for 2 ft, how many of those mini pots of hair galss i need?

    combing hairgrass? How do we do that? Sounds funny but I think it might be true because looking at my hairgrass, there are some brown and melted strands that are quite difficult to remove.

    So...someone design an "aquarium comb" and get it patented.

    Combing? Never done that.
    For my case, I never trim them. Some folks say must trim to encourage the growth. But I didn't unless it is plagued by algae.
    For best deal, you should go to Teo Plant Farm to get the hair grass since you are covering such a big area.
    Note that at the farm, there are long and short varieties of HG.
