Just completed my 2 ft tanks setup with only 10 pcs of mesh tied with xmas moss.( got from teo only this later afternoon), seem that these moss don't get contact with the base soil , so when do i need to add liquid fertilizers? and what kind is perfer?
i decide to on the light( 1 x 32 w PL) for 5 hour for a weeks and later increase to 7 hour daily. or can i have 2 x 32 w pl instead, is that too much for moss? any advice?
    thanks

Moss does not need base fert. Moss do not have roots.

when i tied the moss with the net on metal mess, the amount is more than the one nature is selling. So will more moss enhance or make it more difficult to grow?

one more question is when should i add the liquid fertilizer and what is the amount? heard about the Dr. Mallick's Trace Element Mix. how is work and what is the cost likely to be? thanks

One PL is enough for X moss.
    ----------------

One PL light set (36W) in a standard 2 ft (15 G) will yield 2.4 W per gallon. In my two feet tank with moss only, I find that 1 X 15 W FL is more than sufficient. Too much light gives me algae problems.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

    Buzz,

More is fine, just grows faster and bushier.

I suggest you stick to something like TMG, Seachem Flourish or other "branded" fertilisers. Dr M's stuff I wouldn't recommend to beginners. Whatever it is, start at a quarter of the recommended dose.

    hi vinz,
how about one tablet of dennerle pflanzen gold 7 and a cap ful of jbl liquid fertilizer weekly? for the jbl, i still can change to other brand as i think i left with not much but the dennerle, i still got 30 plus of tablet left, so will likely stick to this.
    thanks
