    Bought a bottle seachem - flourish potassium. How much do i need to doze for a 2ft tank or 13 gallon tank? instruction mention 1ml = 10 gal. How to know how to doze the amount to 20ppm?

    i know from the NO3 test kit on dozing cas the colour indicates the amount of ppm for NO3, but i dont know abt K can anyone help??? Thanks.

    Think you can look at the instruction.. they do mention that the recommended dosage will give 1mg/l which is equal to 1ppm. Do some maths calculation and you wil get the required 20ppm.

    I dose four capfuls each week. You will see that this only gives you 11 weeks supply for a 250 ml bottle. When it runs out I am switching over to dosing K powder.

    buy K2SO4 from Dr Mallick (www.singaporehydroponics.com). Std tub will last you a year or so. Then use the Chuck Gadd calculator (search the forum) to find the dosage.... i usually just dump one slightly heaped teaspoon into my 2 ft... some excess doesn't do much harm.

    i usually add when changing water so i add the K into the pail of fresh water before pouring it in.
