    Hi there,

    This is the first planted aquarium I've built. Nearly from scratch.


    Fish Tank:
    Custom 254.9L
    .5" Class

    Filter:
    Custom Serpentine Set-up "Clear"
    Custom Blended Carbon
    2 Liters Bio-Rings
    570GPH Pump
    Custom Suction/Input Tubes
    Integrated 500W Titanium Heater

    Stand:
    4x4 Uprights
    1x6 Cross Members
    All glued and screwed

    Lighting:
    For the moment - 250Watt Sunlamp

    Substrate:
    Eco-Complete
    Under Gravel PVC Hides (Visible from below the tank)

    hi Elemen I see you have a big tank - a good filter - a perfect lighting.
    but I have no idea about your substrate? what plants are you going to grow ?

    Don't get this part, you want to do a UG pipe system and bury it with your substrate? If that is so, its not a good idea to have a nutrient rich substrate at the start and a UG. Your nutrients will just go into your water column.

    Hey there,

    The under ground PVC pipes are all staitionary under the substrate and are used for hides. There is no water flow in or out of them. The pipes are also cut nearly in half length wise and connected with clear piping up to the surface of the substrate.

    The First plants are going to be a mixture of weeping moss and willow moss for the moss wall. The rest of the plants are up in the air at the moment.
