you can try vallisneria americana. They are pretty hardy. I once had a planted cichlid tank too but tore it down to set-up a south american tank. good luck.
Hi all.
When i get my second tanganyikan cichlid tank running, i plan to have a few plants planted scarcly around the tank. There are 2 plant people have reccomended, Vallisneria and Anubias. Anubias i can find but is very expensive (£15-£20 per potted plant), so probably will not buy that because so expensive, but the Vallinseria is available (according to my LFS who i rang today, can special order for me) at an ok price (abt £5 per plant, $16 SGD), so my question is, what typr of Valis would you reccomend? My tank:
pH: 8.0
Hard water (dunno exact reading)
Only 1.5 watts per gallon of light, 6500k.
Any suggestions is helpful..
Thanks..
James
