I have been using distilled water to top up my water in my shrimp tank. I realised that my GH have been contantly maintained at 10dkh. Do plants and fauna in the tank decrease the GH over time or it will remain constant as long as i use distilled water?

Do i need to further supplement the water with products like mosura mineral plus ?

    Re: question on GH

Certain plant fertilizer increases gH. Topping up evaporated water with H20 maintains your current gH level as gH does not dissipate into the air. Plants for certain do lower gH eventually as they consume minerals overtime. I never let my gH level go pass 5dgH, due to the plants that I keep requiring lower gH level.

Keeping shrimps and certain plants that require hard water or high gH level requires you to supply gH after every water change.
