Used to run on DIY CO2, plants grow well but don't bubble. Then got a CO2 set last week. Yesterday night saw dots of bubbles on my riccia. My other plants also started to bubble, including my glosso. WOW !!! What a wonderful sight and sensation. No regrets getting the CO2 set.

    congrats
remember to dose your other fertilisers on a regular basis
when plants get high co2, they start growing more quickly and suck up nutrients in the water, especially fast growing species like riccia

Currently using Ferropol, Gold7, E15, V30. Are these sufficient ?

the important thing is frequent dosing
enough or not i can't tell cos i dunno the contents of what you're dosing
often what happens is the bubbling stops after a while because the nutrients in the water get exhausted
that's when you know to dose

Hi David, me just bought the gold7, but a stupid qns to ask .... the fertiliser is in capsule form, so how do i put it into the tank? insert into the substrate? open the capsule and pour the contents into the water or just simply pop the capsule into the water?

i know this is a very funny and stupid question to ask, but pls just laugh quietly behind the computer screen

    Airstern,

Not at all. This is the place for us to share what we know. OK, what I do is open up the capsule and pour the power into the water. It will slowly dissolve in the water. That's it.

DIY CO2 can also make riccia bubble. But must use reactor to achieve max dissolving efficiency and need to shake the DIY bottles a few times.
