Hi all, will current flow affect the plant growth?? Almost still, little flow or moderate current flow is the ideal or proper set up? Izzit depends on plants type? Thanks.

Normally I see others tanks setup with strong current( at fish shops). While I read books or magazine, normally recommend very little current to prevent algae. ???

I hav enever seen current tied to algae. You wnat to moderate teh current in your tank for two reasons.
    1) some plants do not have strong enough roots to be planted in a current
    2) you can tire some fish to the point of death if the current is too strong.

I have a VERY high flow rate in my tank, but the current is strong in only one portion. The fish have the choice to surf the current as they chooose but they can also rest on 70% of the tank.

In front of the flow I have plants that root very deeply, but the rest of the flow goes out into a void of open space.
