11 Singapore National Discus Competition

The competition will be held from 20th-24th Jan 2010.
Bench in on 20th Jan.
Bench out on 24th Jan after 5 pm.
Judging on 21st Jan
Prize giving on 24th Jan at 2 pm.
Venue : Serangoon CC

Prize money for winners plus trophies.

GrandChampion : $1000.
1st prize $150
2nd prize $100
3rd prize $50


Venue: Seragoon North Ave 1. Next to Serangoon CC. Actual competition will be held along the new pavallion built adjcent to the Pet stores. There will be another 4 club also holding their competition , like betta club, goldfish club, luo han, etc.

Entry forms will be sent to all DCS members. Forms are in the printing process. Closing Date is set at 4th Jan 2010. We will put the entry form for downloading here once it is ready.

Entry fee remains at $40 for members and $60 for non-members, per entry

There will be eleven classes for the up coming National Competition.

Class 1: Solid Blue/Green
Class 2: Solid Red/Brown
Class 3: Red spotted
Class 4: Turquoise Pattern/Stripes
Class 5: Pigeon Pattern/Stripes
Class 6: Albino Solid
Class 7: Albino Pattern/Stripes/Spotted
Class 8: Unclassified Solid
Class 9: Unclassified Pattern/Stripes/Spotted
Class 10 : Young Adult Solid*
Class 11 : Young Adult Pattern/Stripes/Spotted*


We have added a young adult class to the upcoming competition to encourage more participation among all. The major requirement for this class is that the entry cannot be more than 4 inches in size (head to tail). We felt that those who have small but nice fish will have an opportunity to showcase their discus.

*The winners of the young adult classes will not be considered for the Grandchampion Award.
