CRS getting over run by Redz

So far all CRS shrimplets have never made it pass a week, praying that this batch might make it.

hey bro, i think the assassin snails are not compatible with shrimps in the same tank. They tend to attack shrimps which are moulting i think..

I've seen them eating more than one of my CRS, but I don't know if the CRS died naturally, was sick, or was just outright murdered by my A Helena...

Never seen assasin snail eating my shrimp, it would be quite hard for it to catch them, but it will scavenge on dead or dying animal.

    Re: Redz

they cannot catch a healthy shrimp obviously because they move slow, but when the shrimp is moulting it is quite immobile, and that's the assassin snail's opportunity to attack. I have seen numerous of my shrimps getting sucked up dry by my assassin snails before. the shrimp carapace remains nice and intact but its meat inside gets sucked out, its quite horrific man, especially if it is a high grade crs you talking about. So if i were you, i wouldn't risk it.

    Re: Redz

    Yes...they do....
Especially when your shrimp is moulting....
Lucky lucky enough to pass by your shrimp or your shrimp sway sway met it...it will curl your shrimp up and give it a good suck.
Don't under-estimate them as slow mover...
