    Hi guys, i just got a dymax IQ3 cube tank.. want to put some plants in it.. i am a noob in this.. can any bros here recommend me plants that do not need CO2...

    CO2 is not really the problem, most plants will survive without it. The problem is lighting, I'm assuming you are using the included lights with the IQ3 and not intending to change them to something stronger?

    What livestock are you planning to keep in this tank? Maybe we can better advise you on the plants then.

    I agree the lights are really weak. Seriously doubt if they are able to sustain plant growth under water because they can't even get my land plants to open their leaves when compared to a 5w lights
    The role of master and servant begin to cloud in the water..

    Bros,

    You are referring to the Dymax LED light right?
    I used 2 of those in my 2-footer for a month and new growths are detected for my Jap HG, C Parva, Nana Petite, B Longifolia and US Fissidens.
    There is growth but too slow for my liking, although it is a low-tech tank
    Have since replaced them with a bigger wattage Dazs lightset and transferred them to my 1-footer.
    If bro Dabiddo is using a single LED for his IQ3, I think it should be ok, barely
    Don't expect miracles to happen though
    Warning: All posts are based on personal experience with no creditable validation whatsoever...
