This plant should either be an aponogeton or an echinodorus. It propagates from adventitious plantlets on the floral stalk.

It has long petioles with leaves like aponogeton undulatus (checkered effect, refer to page 50 of The Aquarium Plant Handbook) but are much slimer, about 1-1.5cm wide and can reach about more than 40cm long (+ petioles).

I bought it from System & Control Eng. Co.

But this plant that I have propagates from adventitious plantlets, and the handbook does not state so for aponogeton crispus ....???

It is not a Echinodorus cos it does not have the vein pattern of an Echinodorus.

I have this plant too... It is either A. crispus or undulatus, I cannot identify it also....

But it is a great mother plant!

Aponogeton undulatus (which is your plant) is the only species in the genus to propagate through plantlets (as well as regular flowers)..... nice background plant when it is mature.
