As the title suggested, I'm trying to look for some buggers to clean up the BGA.. Is there any snails in particular that can help with this algae? Or shrimps maybe? Or some fish? I prefer snails though..

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

I may be wrong on this, but I was reading up on ramshorn snails and found this article:

    http://www.badmanstropicalfish.com/f...p?topic=1279.0

It mentions that the ramshorn snails will graze on the biofilm which holds the BGA together as a base, which in turn "destroys" it, though not consuming the BGA directly. Maybe worth a try.

But as always, this is just a stop-gap measure and other factors should also be tweaked to either stop the growth of the BGA or control it till the ramshorns can keep it in check =)

    Hope that helps!
