"One teaspoon (about 6 grams) of sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) per 50 liters of water will increase KH by 4 degrees" quoted from website.
just add and dilute the sodium bicarbonate into new water that you are going to use to change water in the tank if you want to be safe. But i just add them into the existing tank.

    Good PM Bro & Sis,

My 1.5 ft tank been 3 weeks, and the NO3 (Nitrate is still high appox, 40 ppm). The other of the parameters had been in acceptable range (correct if I am wrong) since last week:

    PH: 6.6
    Kh: 3 to 4 dH
    Gh: 7 dH

    Ammonia: 0
    No2 (Nitrites): 0

    Temperature 25 to 26 Deg C

Appreciated Bro and Sis can give your advise.

    Thks/rgds.
