What to feed pleco fries with

Many people kept this pleco but so far non as far as those i know have managed to breed these guys. Well, there is a possibility you could have been the first one. Well, Celticfish would know better within the pleco kakis.

The fries are the reason for me switching from apistos to plecos. The first 9 days they consume their egg sacks, so no need to do feeding. Then after they take stable food (pellets) readily. No more hassle of hatching BBS, buying BBS, changing water to keep BBS alive. Another plus point, no need to separate parents, no need to worry about fries being eaten by the parents and other adults that share the same breeding tank. To sum it up, its what i call FUSS FREE BREEDING!

Its very close... wasabi8888 sent me some pictures of fry this past X'mas eve to ID.
I coouldn't tell much (since I've not bred them myself) but they look very similar to yours.

Are they in your planted setup? or a dedicated tank?
You can feed both Hikari Canivour and Algae Wafer.
Try to use both.
Just break each tablet into mangeable bits for them.
Decap BS eggs are another alternative.
You can also use Sera Vipagran Baby which has a nice small granulate size.

The L134 is in a rojak tank with dwarf cichlid, cories and betta. Almost was about to give up on them already.Anyway some pic of the fries below.

i used to feed the prepared decap BBS to L46 babies thinking it has more nutrition that the carni tabs. main diet decap BBS supplemented by carni tabs.

are they black and white?
or are they stressed?

can see the nice L134 patterns.

usually hypans have black marks on white body. but yours is the opposite, white marks on black body. cool.

this is my first time seeing L134 too. if you only had L134 in that tank then it can't be a betta, apisto or cory....

I have raised over 4 hundred L134 in the last 2-1/2 years and they are always yellow and brown. The above photos are of some Hypancistrus species. They look my L333 but at that size they could be from a number of other species. Here are some young L134 from a couple different broods and some that are about 3 months old.

Apistomaster, even the newborns are already yellow and brown? Ccs newborns looks like they are 2 weeks old.

They are yellow and brown when they leave the spawning cave but very yellow and brown in 2 weeks.

based on your recent update, indeed the coloration seems like Hypancistrus fries... (that's what i thought when Celticfish showed me the picture in his email... but i wasnt sure..)
