Hi all Bro, recently bought 20 pieces of NTT (Northern Thailand Tiger) at 5" big. 6 had passed away with the same symptom. The color becomes very bright with nice black bar, gill opened, mouth extended abit, then they go up lorry in 2 days. The rest are still OK,but how do I prevent them from dying?

Information like your tank size, filter model and whether you cycled it beforehand would be helpful. Sometimes Tigers are not fed well at the LFS, and they could have been sick as well before purchase. It is possible that they died from nitrite poisoning.

I kept them in a 4ft tank with a 3ft sump. The existing Tigers are OK, guess is the NTT having problem in LFS already, tks

i think they were just stressed.. from what i don't know.. sometimes fishes go through a period of enhanced colouring before death due to environmental stresses.. perhaps they are more settled to your water condition now.

Hmmm, there must be something wrong with your water then.. Either ph or the hardness and probably other factors like your BB is disturbed or what? dont get big ntt now, just get some feeder fish and try out for a mth before deciding if it's safe =) else you'll just be wasting your money..
