When they had long eyestalks they were an Uca species or something other out of the superfamily Ocipodoidea (e.g. Macrophthalmus, Ocipode…).
went to y618 today, saw a big bag of new crabs.
The uncle said just arrived today.
Black colour with small small white dots, the shape look like egg
and the best part, the 2 eyes are like 2 long stick...
anybody seem the crabs, and happen to know what species are they??

i guess you are referring to these. They are known as horn-eyed ghost crabs, scientific name ocypode cerathophthalmus, they are salt water crabs.
are they still there? tempted to get some if freshwater.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

they look like these
I saw these cute crabbies at C328 also.
Funky, looks saltwater to me.
Their eyes very nice, like small cherries.
That's Uca forcipata, a fiddler crab which can drown since its gills have evolved to lungs. If You want to keep You need a tank with mud or at least sand, this should be moist from salt water. By short contact with fresh water these animals will die.

Hey these are the crabs I saw at C328! damn cool looking... so they are actually saltwater eh... then I bet they are all gonna die since the uncle just place them together with apple crabs in a small tank with a little water (which I bet is fresh water)... sad...
