Hot issuses with Osram QTP5 e-ballast

Recently just replaced spoilt Osram e-ballast with the one above (same wattage of 2x39 tubes); discovered it's hot to touch after activation.... is this normal? Can't quite remember the last time with the old one; anyone has same experience?

how hot is hot? and how long has the ballast been switched on?
even with e-ballast, there will be some heat given off.

Just hot to touch within 45mins of activation.....tks for response; perhaps I should hav some ventilation using fan on it.

Have you felt how hot magnetic ballasts get? Hard to gauge if its normal without some basis for comparison.
