Came back to work today and saw two fully matured and berried cherry shrimps dead in my old tank. Shrimplets are fine thankfully. I've seen many dead shrimps before and about the only physical feature I noticed was their eyes were white. This time round the victims were fully berried and they had blackish purple colored discoloration on them.Big patches about the body. Can anybody advice me on what they might have died from? Are the purple patches an indicator of something?Thankyou very much

Usually shrimps can live up to 1.5 years. If the shrimps are around 1.5 cm when you bough them, they are like around 6-7 months old already. Plus, bellied shrimps are usually very weak. How long have you been owning them?

LFS will tell you is a normal process. Orange shrimp tend to darken very fast and hard to maintain their original orange color after you grab them from LFS. They will look quite "ugly" but you need to bear with it.
