    Came across this:

Does not provide a lot of information regarding care but indicates growing interest in other countries like the UK.

Question for the experts. Crabs are cold-blooded but as the article says, vampire crabs are nocturnal and feed during dusk and dawn. Does putting the tank in indirect sunlight and warming them get them more active? Or would it cause them to hide as it would be too bright?

    Re: vampire crabs

In singapore, the room temperature is just nice for them, dont need any heating or cooling. They come out only at dawn or duck as they are less likely to be caught by predators, and are unlikely to dessicate if they are unable to find a source of water. If u give them more light, they will just hide even more.

Thanks Lucas. Basically, too much light is no good, sun or warmth is unnecessary.

I kept them once before and they tend to be rather shy creatures, once they see you they would hide some where
