    hi all,

Is there such a thermostat product that you can use to connect to a DC fan to turn on only when the water temperature reaches say 28C? Maybe a thermostat that acts as a switch to a normal power plug so that you could just plug your fan power plug to it?

Was thinking the advantage of having that is (i) to reduce the need for water top up (ii) no need to lower water temperature to 24/25C when the ambient is already 26/27C especially during the cooler nights/months.
    Cheers,
    Joe

Any external thermostat can be set up this way. But its going to cost almost as much as a second hand chiller to rig this up.

Wow using the Tunze is probably overkill. You can rig up a FOX 1004 Thermostat from Sim Lim tower to a 3 pin plug box, for around $100.00 all in.

Tunze that looks like overkill for a fan - may be useful for other things though. FOX 1004 thermostat looks interesting.

Wonder if there is any other cheaper alternatives?
    Cheers,
