    Hi guys, need some advise.. would you recommend to use iPhoto that comes with a MacBook or LightRoom (quite expensive) for managing photos easily and effectively e.g. import to photoshop for editing and then back for viewing with the original stored in a different folder etc...

    Lightroom for me! Anyway, you may want to download the fully functional lightroom 3.0 beta to try out before you buy. You need non destructive editing and iPhoto does not offer that for sure.

    Thanks. I installed both LR 2 and PS CS4 on my macbook and works fine!

    I'm starting to use both iphoto and LR and finds that iPhoto is really fun to use for slideshows with visual and sound effects and interesting features such as recognising and grouping of faces and locations LR is more for more detailed editing I think, abit boring
