Those 3-ball reactor will do. But will look bulky in your small tank.

to know how many bottles of diy co2 you need, you have to find out the ph and kh values of you tank water. search for ph/kh chart as this has been discussed before. aim for at least 20 but not more than 30ppm of co2.
fyi, diy co2 does not have a consistent co2 production rate.

it is good to connect the co2 outlet to the inlet of the filter?
Depends what type of filter you have. Eheims work great for that fluvals don't/ you could also make or but a reactor to increase co2 absorbtion

i am using a external cylindrical power filter, how can i connect the co2 to the filter...it is better to connect to the input or output of the filter ?..
Any diagram or explaination to connect that to the filter ? Sorry Newbaby to aquatic aquariium...pls advise.
cravy, dun recommend u connect yr co2 to yr filter as it will increase wear and tear of yr filter..
so what is the best way to optimise the co2 level in the water using DIY co2?
use a 3 ball reactor as what juggler has recommended.
other alternatives are spiral diffuser and flipper.

it is good to use another small power head that is placed in the water for the co2 ?
using a small power head will work well.
the impeller blades will break up the co2 bubble and his helps a lot in the co2 dissolving rate. it also improves the water circulaion. the downside is that power head takes up space, which is not an issue if you have a big tank.

Can consider making this external CO2 reactor.

If you do, let me know where to find the parts locally.

Is the pressure of DIY CO2 enough to push it up using the above?
any1 try b4
is this suitable for DIY co2? I dun think the diy co2 have enough pressure to do so.----------------

Should work. Since it is not trying to push through something like those ceramic diffusers. But remember to use a check valve.----------------

no problem with spiral diffuser or flipper.----------------

----------------
diy co2 pressure is enough to push down to 1' depth at least. once the bubble reaches the bottom of the diffuser/flipper, the bubble buoyancy will make it 'search' for the water surface.

hi juggler,
nice link!
it doens't look too hard to DIY one....
neat idea... cheap and neat!
if i ever find time to hunt for the parts, i'll let u know where to get them
