    Hi Guys

Been growing them for awhile already and its growing fine. However, been to Teo farm last wkend and realized that theirs is slightly tinted with red colour but not mine.

Furthermore, my is growing as tall as 3 inches unlike theirs with the leaves curving downwards. Tried to test my water perimeters but only managed to capture ph of 7 but not kh.

Is it possible tht my kh in my tank is very low? Followed the jbl instruction to drop the chemical till yu see water changes from blue to orange. Didnt see any blue but can safely say it shows a tint of orange on 2 drop.

    Any comments?

The FAQ section has your answers....[] ...Okay, Singapore's water is pretty low in KH...usually less than 1. Did you add any baking soda or KH plus stuff to the water? If you did not, that explains it...add some baking soda and bring the KH up to 3 - 5. Do not raise it more than 2dKH per 24hours as it might stress your fishes due to the subsequent increase in pH along with the KH. 1 tsp of baking soda raise about 4dKH for every 50litres of water.

    Hi apollo,

Think there are more than 1 type of tenellus out there.

I personally have the tall version that grow to easily 3 inches.

Recently aquired some small & short version from Eco-culture.
I planted them in the same tank to compare their grown.

So far, the short version tenellus grow to about 1 inch tall, compared to their 3 inch tall cousin. That was for about a month already.
And yes, the red tint is more prominent on the short version.
