MRT card will be too flimsy but phone cards are quite effective but quite difficult to see where you're scrapping with one hand in the water.
The tetra tec that Simon mentioned is very good to use but don't come cheap. Price $25 to $35.
Some uses the magnetic scrapper but only works on thinner glass tanks.
Get the $10 phone card. After using all the credits in the card on phone call. Use it to scrap your glass tank.
More worth the money than buying any scaper.[]
I use the green and rough side of normal sponge usually used for dishwashing. Very effective.
ah, better read the packaging, some of those sponges contain chemicals which can kill off everything in your tank----------------

Right! I bought some "soft-looking" sponge for my turtle box, but fortunately I read the instructions before using them on my tanks! It's stated there that the sponge (really soft and porous) cannot be used on tanks!
I use my fingers! Apart from cleaning the glass, you can also feel for the algae along the way. And if you look at your palm through the glass, it's also easier for you to spot the algae.
Of course lah, if your tank is big, still have to use a proper scrapper...
P-L-E-C-O-R-Y=M-A-N-I-A!!! YEAH!

I have been using the dishwashing sponge for 1 year now, the green side. Very fast and easy to use.
Main thing is don't ever use soap or detergent to wash it.
I just rinse it under running water and use the same sponge everytime.
be careful when using sponge, sometimes, gravel or anything hard get struck on it and u might scratch the glass...
