Thanks. Sudden craving for them and they are really interesting fishes. Always hovering above the substrates. The Synodontis are going to be my next fishes to keep. Going to add more species to my L46 tank! Yeah!!!

They're nice fish, but some are territorial. I had a Synodontis nigriventris that pushed other loaches out of its territory in a community set-up. Haven't seen those for a long time. Where did you get this critter Eugene?

    Re: Help ID this Catfish

Got this from NA last weekend. There were 6 pieces left and when i started taking 2 out. Couple of guys behind me follow suit. So not sure if there is any left. These guys do have character. They are not afraid of the much bigger L46s during feeding time. The plecos got to whack them away with their body and tail from the food.

Think i saw 4 or 5 pieces of what looked like Synodontis multipunctatus in C328 on thursday.

Nope. They don't cave from what I see. They like to go upsidedown under the sponge filters or stick to the back of the tank.

    Re: Help ID this Catfish

They like dark places but not caves. Mine loved to stick under a piece of driftwood and only peek out when it was feeding time. I don't trust them with other catfish, and smaller fish however... these guys are sneaky buggers.
