    Many atimes it is due to the condition of your tank's(water temp, CO2, substrate, fert, lights.....) & the place where you get them from.

    Plants will melt then most will be regrowing new leaves to suit the conditions of the new envoirnment if the conditions are not too drastic from where they were or are comfortable with.
