anyone had success growing ricca n xmas moss at a water temp of 28degC???

my ricca seems to be turning to dark green and my xmas moss is turning all brown......

does the alage in my tank deprive the growth of my plants???
been scrubbing them of my glass almost every other day.
should i solve the alage problem before adding more plants???

dark green riccia = sinking riccia
they do not pearl like normal riccia, but they do not float up (which is a good thing)

browning of mosses usually means they r dying.. prolly yr case will be the temperature considered. perharps u like to try java moss instead

normal riccia will turn dark green and sinks after submerged for a long time.

After which it crawls all around your tank

I think Xmoss just need some adjustment and conditioning to your tank. Mine doesn't give me any problem.
